I think this was the longest four days of my life. I think I am ok with never seeing a farm animal again in my life, but that won't happen so I am making sure I stay away from the farm for a while. So to explain a little of how the fair goes, is Sydney is judge on her performance and then the animals are judge on how good of an animal they are. The animals are put into "classes" usually by weight when the animal is judged. If the animals win first or second then they come back and are judged with all the other kids animals. It is called star round. It doesn't matter what age. Then Sydney is put into an age group when she is judged so she isn't up againts the older kids who are more experienced (juniors, intermediate, seniors). If they win Grand or Reserve Champion then they come back and do what is called Round Robin where they have to work with a Cow, Pig, Goat, Sheep. Even if they don't show one of those animals they are still judged and are asked questions on them.
Syd's winnings:
*Junior Livestock Champion-this is were she has to judge the animal and then they compare it to a professional judge
*Top Showman Beef-we were shocked that she won this one.
*Both pigs won first in their class and then 7th and 10th overall when they went in for the star round
*Reserve Champion Swine Showmanship-this is when she was judged and won.
*Reserve champion Beef Market-this is when pumpkin won
*Grand Champion Beef Showmanship-Syd won this one
*Grand Champion Top Exhibitor Junior

Oh man!! I so wish we could have been there. :( I want a pig and a goat! But I'd want to keep them at my house. Think Huz'll go for that?! hahaha.
