Kyle, Pumpkin, Clove, Black Pete

Today we received Syd's pig-Kyle. She will raise him and show him at the fair this August. She loves pigs. Half of her room is covered in pig stuff. He has a black nose. We also took Gage down to the farm for the first time. Even though it is spring, it was freezing today. Syd will also be showing two cows at the fair-Pumpkin and Black Pete. She can only show Steers at the fair, but she is doing jackpots shows were she is showing a heffer-Clover. Above is a picture of Pumpkin (right) and Clover (left). Black Pete didn't want to get up and come out.

Hacky sack

Syd has a hacky sack. I remember these were the cool things in middle school. All the kids had them. Apparently they are still cool. Dave I guess was really good at it. He struggled a little today but after a little practice they were going back and forth.

New Born Pictures

We had Gage's pictures done when he was a week old and we received the disc today. Looking at them, he was so little. It makes me sad that he is growing so fast and changing so much, but not sad enough to want another newborn any time soon. :) Jeana is amazing and will be using her again in the future.

Pop Rocks

The other day Gage was freaking out. Daylight savings has totally screwed him up and we have been trying to get him back on a better schedule. I feel like he has gone back to the first few weeks he was born. It is killing me. Awake all night sleep during the day. Anyways, he was freaking out so Dave put some pop rocks in his mouth and put it up to his ear and he was quiet for so long listening to the crackle.

First Bad Mom Moments

So we were having an awesome day today. It is warm (60 plus degrees) and Gage was happy, went to lunch with some friends, he came home and actually took a nap today and sleeped without me having to hold him. I was able to get some laundry done. He woke up and I was feeding him and he feel back to sleep. I decided to clip his nails. So I am clipping away and he twitched and I clip him instead of his nail. He wakes up cries and starts to bleed (just a little but it still makes me feel bad). I feel horrible. I know this isn't a really big deal but I am the first one to make him bleed. He is crying because I hurt him. Second crappy moment- I am trying to feed him a bottle. He keeps crying and he wont eat. This goes on for 3 hours. Dave comes home and tries. Finally it dawns on me that maybe the nipple to the bottle is clogged and it is, so the born kid is starving and downs that milk. Great mom moments today.

Sleeping

Gage feel asleep right before church (his first time) so I went to go finish getting ready and this is what I come back to. This kid does the funniest things with his arms. He hates them tucked in and always wiggles them out.

Seeing Me

For the first time since Gage has been born, I am finally starting to see me. In this picture I actually see my dad.
