Vernon

We went camping to Vernon Res. Our first camping trip with a baby! It isn't the prettiest place but it was cooler than SLC and it has good fishing. I couldn't believe how many people were there. We seriously got the last camp spot. Last year we went and it rained 90% of the time so there wasn't to many people.

Our little camp spot and our awesome trailer!

Dave and Syd getting there poles rigged up.

Gage with his hat. He doesn't like it to much. It gets into his eyes and he gets really made but I wasn't going to have a burnt baby.

Hard day of fishing. We didn't dare take off his hat and take the chance of waking up.

Syd practicing shooting. She is going hunting this fall.

White trash baby. No need to say more. This kid had so much crap on him by the end of the day. ( I had just fed him. I didn't leave food on him all day)

Camp fire. Can you believe I took this with my phone. I brought the camera but forgot the battery. It was plugged in being charged.

Syd spraying enough bug spray to kill anything within a 10 mile radius

Smores. I bought those giant marshmallows. Dave roasted two. You only needed one for a whole graham cracker. They were so good.

Syd feeding Gage breakfast

Dave cooking breakfast. As you can see he is using a fork and a spatula. I forgot to grab the dishes out of the dishwasher so we had to improvise. We also cooked hamburgers over the fire and they turned out so good! We will cook them that way from now on.

I went inside to grab something and when I came walking out Dave told me to be quiet and this is what I walked up to. Gage falling asleep. He loves the wind and there was this tiny breeze that put him to sleep. He loved camping. Seeing so many different thing and watching all the people.

I think the funniest thing that happened on this trip was, we were playing games and Gage (who has been putting everything into his mouth) was sitting on Dave's lap, turns his head and bites him! I am sure he was going for just his shirt but he got some skin in there too.

Blessings

So I have been thinking a lot about how Heavenly father has blessed me lately. This week we are going camping to Vernon. A year ago we went camping to Vernon, I was laying awake one night having a panick attack because I knew I was pregnant. No one else knew at the time, not even Dave. (even though I told him that I was suppose to start my period at anytime) I was thinking holy crap I am going to be a mom. There is no going back. I will have someone attached to me for the rest of my life. Gahhhhhhhh! I literally almost had to go outside because I couldn't breath and the walls were closing in on me. We came home and it was the second sunday and it was our turn to cook. I remember having my sisters there and knowing I had this little secret but I hadn't even taken a pregnancy test yet. After they left I took one. It of course was positive. I went outside to tell Dave. I told him and he went to high five me. Yes high five me. Not a hug. Not a kiss. A high five. I went inside. Now a year later as we prepare to go camping again, i have this little man in my life, who i just adore. It seems like he has always been here. I love his bright eyes and his "talking". I have been truely blessed by this little man and am so glad I am his mom.

Next blessing is that I can stay home. This has not been easy for me, but as I sit here with Gage on my lap, his feet up on my arm just hanging out. It will be worth it. I have been wanting to fly out to TN for months and months now. I have been waiting for a good deal on a flight because money is different now that I am not working. One of Dave's friends has his own business and flys a lot. He had a free flight that he wasn't going to use in time before it expired. He gave it to me so I can go out to TN and help my mom. This is a huge deal. A huge blessing. Next southwest just came out with a deal on flights so I will be able to go out again and help my mom. So for the two flights it is costing less than it does usually for one flight. God knows my heart and knows it is killing me to be out here while she is sick out there. He is making a way for me to go help her. Another reason why I needed to be home. I can just go at any time. I don't have to worry about taking time off or feeling guilty for leaving work or dealing with the stress of a crappy boss. I didn't know all the reasons for having being a stay at home mom. I just thought it was to raise my kids but I have also been able to watch my sisters kids as they work so hard to bring 3 more home. As much as they think i have been helping them, they to have helped me out in so many different ways. They always so they are in debt to me for watching there kids and will watch our kids, but I always feel in debt to them for helping me through a tough time in my life. For letting me love their girls.

One of the biggest blessing I will have for eternity is Dave. He has this faith that is indiscribeable. I seriously don't know why I am so lucky to have him. He knows everything will work out. He just knows. He knows that things will fall into place. He doesn't stress. He can take the small quite answers and be ok with that and know things will work out. I have to have fireworks for my answers because I am to stressed to listen to the still small voice. In the short time we have been together he knows me like the back of his hand. He knows my heart and he tries to help me. He loves me, for me.

Daddy

Happy Fathers Day to my hubby.Gage gave him this tie with his hand outline on it. It was no easy task. Even tracing his hand while he was asleep, this kid was stubborn and wouldn't let me do it.

Syd made a business card holder for him. It is a deer incase you were wondering. The antlers are behind the card.

He is such a good dad. That is one of the first things I feel in love with when we were dating and I knew I wanted him to be the father of my kids. I am truely lucky to have a guy that works so hard for his family. Happy Father's Day Babe!

Payson Lake

Dave kept on catching tiny brook trout. We let the little guys go.
This was while we are driving, not the greatest picture but hoping you can see how pretty it was up there.

Me and my two fish. I brought both of the in at the same time! When I was reeling in my fish it caught the line of another fish that still had the hook and line in its mouth but must have broken off someone else's pole! We were trying to get it untangled from mine when Dave was like I think there is a fish on the line! He pulled it in by hand and sure enough there was a fish on the end of it. It was crazy!

Gage's first fishing trip! Sydney showing him how to fish and reel them in!

He takes his fishing serious

Payson Lake

Gage hanging out

We went to Payson Lake today. I have been up there once before, years ago. I went with Sarah, AJ and their friend Greg. I remember passing out as Sarah suggested that we go camping. She does not do dirt. It was great. We fixed tin foil dinners that we cooked over the fire and Sarah made AJ and Greg sleep so if the bears came they would reach them first. (It was the year that the little boy was pulled out of his tent and killed and it made Sarah a little paranoid) They did have us leave the next day because bears were spotted in the camping area.

The lady that we talked to as we went in said that a week and a half ago there was still 4 FEET of snow! They just opened up a few days ago. Crazy! The water was really high and freezing cold. It was so pretty up there and green.

Funnies

We went up to Steph's for Sunday dinner and it is a long car ride. I turn around and this is what I see. Both asleep with Gage's feet resting on Sydney's arm and head.

Eating Carrots.

Kenneth and Aleesha

Dave's brother was married on 6/11/11! It was an amazing day. These two people are some of the most amazing people I know and I adore both of them. I am so glad that they have each other and love seeing the lords hand in things and showing that he truely knows us best and is extremely patient with us and knowing when it is the right time to give us the things we need.Dave and Gage hanging out on the lawn waiting for pictures.

Me and Syd waiting

When we arrived at the temple

Cutting the cake. I loved what they did. Only the top is the cake. The rest was cupcakes so people (aka little kids) could go get one and eat it before they cut the cake. As you can see they are all gone.

Gage in his styling outfit.

One of the cutest things that happened that night is Aleesha whole 1st grade class came to the wedding and gave her a pink rose. They all showed up at the same time. She has some really cute kids.

4 Months

Some things that I have been up to lately:

I am now 27 inches 14.14 pounds. So growing a lot.

I sleep in my big boy crib now. (can you see my toes peeking out the bottom of the blanket. I am getting to long for them.)
I tried rice cereal

Looking at daddy ( i am sure he is thinking why are you letting her feed me this)

And hating it. (mom made the mess on my face not me)

Rolling over and I eat my hands a lot (for some reason I can't down the video on my camera to the computer, where are the Miskins when I need them! Oh yeah, stupid Rexburg.)

Grabbing my toes

Being a strong boy

And this is how I smile. (seriously every time his tongue is out)
