Water Basketball

We went to the pool. No we didn't swim. Gage found the basketball hoop that they have at the ends of the pool. So that is what we did the majority of the time. He has been really freaked out about the water. I don't know why. He is finally getting better about sitting in it and figuring out he can splash. I was trying to show him to sit and kick or to put his face in the water and blow bubbles and he wasn't having anything to do with it. Side note: I didn't want Gage to get sunscreen in his eyes again so I was really careful and I didn't put it under his eyes very well. The poor kid eyes we bright red underneath when he woke up from his nap. Seriously I can't win.

Red Butte Gardens

On July 24th we went to Red Butte. I had never been and it had been a long time for Dave. It was free and again packed. It was amazing. They even have a kid section were the kids could go through tunnels, sit under trees that hung down low, climb on huge lizards, play in the water, sand box. We feed the ducks, mainly Gage did with his peanut butter and jam sandwich because he saw other kids throwing things in to feed the fish and ducks. Poor Gage got sunscreen in his eyes. I don't know how it happened but he couldn't see for half the time. We had a water bottle and kept squirting water into his eyes to try and flush it out. So that is why he looks a little funky in the pictures.

Not a great picture but it just to show you the tunnel that they can run around in. It is actually in the shape of a snake and the have a head of the snake made out of plants at the begining of it.

Hiking with the Bakers

We went up Big Cottonwood Canyon and the spot we were suppose to go to was closed for them to work on the the trail. We started to hike up to Dog Lake and made it about half way and had lunch and came back down. It was cooler and even rained a little. It was fun to have the Bakers along!

Utah Natural History Museum

You could see them actually working on rocks that they were taking things out of them

Gage in a dinosaur foot print

On pinterest someone had pinned free hogle zoo days. So I looked at the site and the free days were in feb, march, and nov. So pretty much the worst times of the year but it lead to other sites that had free days. On July 9th the Natural History Musuem. I guess we still had to have tickets and the only time they had available was 4. We had only an hour and their were hundreds and hundreds of people so we had to rush through it, just to see it all but it was still cool. Sydney had her friend Abby come with us. I loved the dinosaur part the most. They had dinosaur bones (or replicas) that were found in utah.

West Jordan Fair

We had a Bar-B-Que over at our friends Jeff and Tamara. Tam was called into her intership last minute and couldn't be there. West Jordan does a fair every 4th so we headed over to check it out. Jeff and Dave have been friends since they were two. Syd and Shelbie have been friend since they were babies also. It looks like the pattern will continue with Teagan and Gage.

July 4th

He kept on say "num num num"

I could just eat her up!

Savanna Banana

This is pretty much how me and steph were the whole time. I am so jealous of her new camera.
Gage decided he wanted to "hike"

He didn't get to far until he decided he wanted to sit down and play in the dirt
Gage hates big pools of water. He won't even sit in the tub. I don't know why. It started long before summer. He loves the sprinklers though. He struggled with the life jacket but I wasn't about to let him get near that water with out it.

"spiderman"

I think they are figuring out a plan of attack
