The Girls

The past week I watched my sisters 4 girls. They went to Ukraine to adopt one maybe two boys that they hosted through a program last October. I love these girls. I would take them as my own if anything happened to Steph and Tyler. I have been to the hospital within an hour of each one of their births and held them and fell in love with them. I use to go up every friday when I had that day off and wasn't married and hang out with my sister and play with the girls. It prepared me to be a step mom/mom. It was insane with 5 kids and on Saturday with 6 when Syd finally came for the summer but we had a blast. There was never a dull moment. At the bottom I will list all the things we did. At West Jordan park have a picnic and playing on the toys.

Tyler Grace

T-This girl has sass. She can pout like no other. I started to mimic her towards the end when she would pout. She was always asking for treats. She tries so hard to keep up with the older girls. She told me I embrassed her. I asked her what I did and she just said that I embrassed her. Ok. She loved my necklas and kept on trying to have me take it off and put it on the counter. I think so she could take it. She totally has youngest child syndrom, she wants everything done for her. I would walk by Gage and say "Hello mister" and by the end when she would see Gage that is what she would say. I think she thinks that is his name. She had a nightmare and was scared. I felt so bad for her. She has an imaginary friend Kenny that is a girl. She always needs something scratched or tickled.

Savanna-She was the first. I have loved seeing her grow and learn and turning into a young women. I can't believe how grown up she is getting and it only seemed like yesterday she was born. She tried so hard to convience me to let them have one of the baby kittens. I told her no and she wanted to text her parents in UKRAINE to see if they could take it. I told her that they were going to tell her no, but she didn't believe me. I told her, her dad would kill me if I let them take the cat home. She said that they could hide it. She is so adorable with T. They are little buddies. She is so helpful and loves to cook and do crafts and be active. She is so smart.

Elise (with onyx)-She is the third. She is high maintence. She is going to be a man eater. If you have ever read the Fancy Nancy books, that is Elise. Emery's hair touched her because they were sitting next to each other and she freaked out. But she is a cuddler. Her best friend is Uncle Dave. She was really dissappointed when she found out that he was married to me, because she wanted to marry him. She was the biggest help with Gage when we were in the car. She would put his binkie in his mouth or feed him his bottle or just hold his hand. She kept on saying "Oh Crap"

Emery(#2)- She is the only one with brown hair. She has big brown eyes. She fell off the tramp and I thought that she had broken her arm. She loves everyone and everything. She is very forgiving and moves on from anyone that does her wrong. She worries about others and other peoples feelings. She is sensitive. She loved the last week of school but only because they didn't do any work. When she was at our house she loved the little black kitten. They were buddies.
She loves to be tickled.

They all loved Gage. Even by the end T did. ( She asked me when he was going home at one point) They were a huge help with him. They loved to hold him and play with him . They all loved his toys also.

List of the things that they/we did:

Made up dances, played dress up, games, played outside on tramp/swing set, put head bands and jewelery on Gage, bikes, Wii, movies ( I would be totally ok if I never saw a barbie movie ever again), held Gage, nail polish/make-up (thanks aunt liz for coming up! I took a shower while she was there.) Did hair/my hair, colored, painted rocks, played with friends, school, chalk, played with kittens, fort by the creek, went exploring, played with aunt liz, park, picnic, read books, opened the daily little presents their parents left for them (one day it was a little calender for each of the to count off the days, fruit snack, gum, ect....)Dance, driving to my house, driving back up to their house and having a Cop glare at me as he clocked me going over the speed limit a little. :) Skyped with mom and dad, calling the bus depot to find Savanna's bus driver and her home # to call to see if she had Savanna's year book and meeting her to get it, grochery store, brownies, donuts, home made blizzards, cleaned up, eat regular good for them meals ( i didn't just feed them sugar) and some where in there sleeped (well they slept). I am sure there is more but that is all I can think of.

I don't know how steph does it. I only did two loads of laundry, kept up on the dishes and feed the animals. Techology is amazing. Their parents are clear across the world and with a few clicks they could see their parents. They could text them and chat with them that way. We were lucky we got a phone call every couple of days.

With all the fighting, crying, laughing, pouting, wildness, goofyness it was a good week. Within a few hours of being home I missed them.

Sympathy

I was having sympathy for my cat Boo today. The poor thing just needed a minute to herself and she had three babies following her around either wanting to eat or use her as a jungle gym. She is an amazing little mom but even a cat mom needs a minute to herself every once in a while. I keep on thinking I would love to have twins so we can be done but I am rethinking that after watching how active Gage is starting to be and then watching how three babies can be so demanding. Just the thought of trying to feed more than one starts to make my boobs hurt. I will stick with one at a time, I think.

They both fell asleep

When Gage plays with his toy. They like to play with it to or play with Gage since he is on the ground. I was worried about Gage and them clawing or bitting him but I soon started to worry about the kittens. Gage would grab them and kick them but they would stay and cuddle up next to him.

Him and the white one has become buddies. The white one licks gage and is up by his head all the time. I think he figured it was safer up there.

Adorable

So the kittens are getting huge! They are running up the stairs now. They play, cuddle, lick, bite. They are adorable! I wish they would stay that size and we could keep them but we can't. I just have to call out "babies" and they come running up the stairs. I think we have found homes for all of them, mostly with family so we will be able to see them still. In these pictures I had the vase out that has flowers in it. It had tipped over and Dave found him sleeping in the flowers. Again, ADORABLE! But they are not going to be adorable here in the next few weeks when we can't beat them up the stairs when we try and contain them in the basement when we leave or go to bed. We left the door open today and our table cloth ended up on the floor. So who knows what else they got into.

$30

This toy has seriously been a life saver. The best part is that he will be mad and hit one of the toys and he forgets he is mad and starts to play. LIFE SAVER! Best $30 bucks I have spent on this kid.

Mom

I have one of the most amazing mothers. I know people say that about there mom's all the time but I truly do. My Mom and Dad meet when they were 14 and started to date when they were 16 and have together ever since. She has stuck by my dad through think and thin. (we were not all easy kids)
She always has treats/gum. :)

She has had amazing patience with me. She never lost faith in me. I can always talk to my mom. She is one of my best friends. I have learned so much from her and still have a lot to learn from her. She has accepted and loved Sydney like one of the granddaughters.

She will do anything for her kids. She has flown out many times for all of us for weddings, surgeries, babies being born, babysitting or she just needs to see her kids.

She adores her grand kids.
She is the one who taught me to cook.

We can always laugh at how much all of us are losing it.

She taught me to be proud of who I am.

I love red licorice, caffeine drinks, potato chips because of her. :)

I would always give her a list of food that I wanted to eat when I would go out to TN when I was single and she would make them all.
She has courage.

I love my mom

God's Gym

We went up to Bell Canyon today. The weather was amazing. Dave calls hiking God's Gym. Well it sure kicked my butt today. After the 5 minutes I was done. It was amazing after we got done with the initial mountain we had to climb. (It was a hill but my thighs sure felt like it was a mountain. )

Gage with his hat and sunscreen on! Going on his first hike.

He was wiped out. It is so hard being carried.

We waited for Dave as he ran, yes I said ran, the rest of the way up to the waterfall. We went until we hit snow and then wait for him.

Elizabeth Ann-Graduation

Woot Woot! Liz graduated! It was so awesome to see her walk. She has been working so hard to get her degree! We are so proud!

One of the only 5 seconds Gage was being good. We sat down and 5 minutes later he started to cry. Dave took him out and he cried for 45 minutes and wouldn't calm down and so dave missed liz walking. We went to the ZUPAS (yummy) were after 5 minutes there he started to cry and was really fussy.

One of the many things I love

Snowcones!

They opened up the snowcone shack by our house today. I love snowcones. The people that run the shacks start to reconginze me since I go so often. Last summer I didn't have very many because I was sick and I was craving them this past winter. When we were little, a family in our neighborhood owned a snowcone shack. We always went and got them all summer long. My oldest sister-Steph worked for them during the summer. I remember going and seeing her and even hanging out with her while she worked. I thought it was so cool. I remember one time she ran to go use the bathroom and a guy showed up wanting a snowcone. I made one for him. I thought I was so grown up. The most important reason I love snowcones is that it means summer is coming/here.

Highchair

So we finally pulled out the highchair. (it's actually the top half of the high chair but it straps to one of your chairs so then it doesn't take up room. I love it!) He seems so big in it. He is starting to reach for things and grab them. He loves this lizard. Dave is getting more and more excited that he is getting bigger. While I am getting sadder. I was looking at his newborn pictures and am amazed at how much he has changed in 3 months.
